Our Mission

The Women’s Health Program at Interfaith Medical Center is dedicated to empowering women to take an active role in their health and wellness. The program combines psycho-social and clinical services to create a centralized hub that will serve the female population of central Brooklyn. Located at Interfaith Medical Center’s comprehensive outpatient clinic Bishop Orris G. Walker, Jr. Health Center our purpose is to navigate women through our healthcare system while focusing on education as a means of prevention.

We aim to create a sense of continuity among the health care services we offer, ensuring the needs of women are fulfilled. The program seeks to illuminate the importance of basic annual screenings through educational workshops, patient education, and scheduling appointments for follow-up care. The program seeks to build healthy and beneficial relationships with the women of this community. Our program space is designed to provide comfort, support, and privacy to our patients.  By acknowledging the psycho-social challenges women face, we hope to aide in the prevention of many of the medical issues facing women today.
